Design Story
Humanscale® CPU 600 Holder Keep your workspace orderly with plenty of space for tasking by using the CPU 600 CPU Holder by Humanscale. It raises your CPU off the floor, prevents dust and dirt from getting on your computer's mainframe and allows the unit to stay cool with an open ventilation system. This holder is easy to install or remove and has a 360 degree swivel feature, plus horizontal gliding ability for a highly-efficient and easily accessible computer terminal. Humanscale® CPU 600 Holder The whale mouse takes the stress out of mousing because it is ergonomically designed to fit your hand. Traditional style mouse design strains the more delicate muscles in your hand and wrist by forcing you to grip the mouse between your thumb and little finger. The whale mouse is designed to fit, and therefore relax, your hand which allows the stronger muscles in your arm to handle the stress of repetitive movement.

Beginning with its first product — an anti-glare filter that improved the visibility of monochrome monitors in the early 1980s — the company has methodically designed some of the most innovative products in the industry. In the late 1990s, Humanscale made a significant mark with its introduction of high-performance articulating keyboard systems, offering effortless one-touch adjustability while eliminating the knee-clearance issues associated with competing solutions. Today, the company is still the leader in that product category. In 1999, Humanscale turned heads in the contract furniture industry with the introduction of the Freedom chair, designed by ergonomics pioneer Niels Diffrient. Combining unprecedented functionality with minimal manual controls, the chair broke new ground by utilizing dynamic mechanisms that respond to the requirements of each individual user automatically. Since its introduction in 1999, Freedom has won 10 international design awards and has been featured in virtually every major design publication. Building on the success of the Freedom chair, in 2004 Diffrient designed the Liberty chair, which featured a tri-panel configuration of non-stretch mesh that provides tailor-made lumbar support without external devices. In addition to task and office seating, Humanscale’s award-winning product line includes articulating keyboard supports, adjustable monitor arms, task lighting, CPU holders, laptop holders, foot rests and ergonomic mice. Headquartered in New York City with distribution worldwide, Humanscale is a leader in ergonomic design and is committed to environmental sustainability for all its products. |
