“The chair was shipped a lot faster than I expected. Due to snow here, Fedex Home delayed from Saturday to Tuesday, but that's their problem. The lamp did make the Saturday delivery. Both are in great condition. Sales help was perfect. I canceled the Aeron chair order at another online vendor where I couldn't get consistent info. Another rep, Randy, helped with a tracking number. He was also very pleasant and helpful.”

“i do not like the adjustable arms. when sitting or standing, usually people put both hands on the arm to assist. when you do this, the arms push out to their outward position so you have to move them in again. stick to the stationary arm.”

“Refeshingly excellent customer service. Order the chair on Saturday evening. It was shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday (great job by FedEx). It had all of the special features I had ordered except for the casters. I sent an e-mail on Thursday morning, received a response less than 2 hrs later, the correct casters arrived Monday and I didn't even have to send back the incorrect casters. Can't beat all of that for wonderful and exceptional customer service.”

Reply: The Eames Soft Pad Executive Chair is still manufactured holding true to the original design from the 1950s. That being said, an authentic Soft Pad Executive chair does not have arm pads, and has minimal adjustments. The seat height and tilit tension can be adjusted by turning screws under the chair. Now, the word on the street is that Eames Office and Herman Miller have come to an agreement to manufacture the Aluminum and Soft Pad groups with a pneumatic cylinder in the near future. They feel that if this technology were available back in the 1950s that Charles and Ray Eames would have used it in the designs. Keep watching our site for details.
