Magis Air Armchair

An engaging modern Italian design, the Magis Air chair from Herman Miller attains their goal of maximum performance furniture using a minimum of materials. This minimalist design is strong, yet lightweight and suitable for both indoors and out. True to its name, Air is the first single-shell chair created by innovative air molding, in which air is injected into the mold along with plastic polymer. Air thrives in public areas, such as a lunchroom or conference center, adding comfort, color and interest as well. A coordinating Air table is also available.

Magis Design by Jasper Morrison, 2006.

Made in Italy by Magis.

The Air-Armchair is a perfect example of a deceivingly simple design combined with a very sophisticated production method. Made of polypropylene with glass fiber added, utilizing a gas-assisted injection-molding process. The Air-Armchair is suitable for outdoor use and stacks 10 high.

Magis History

Magis is the brand that has given a novel twist to domestic design, building its identity on incorporating leading edge technology into mass production.

Founded in 1976 in the bustling north eastern corner of Italy by a newcomer to the furniture business, Eugenio Perazza, Magis is today a giant international design laboratory that constantly puts itself to the test, seeking technological sophistication and employing a highly diversified workforce.

Magis seizes the day. It embraces the creativity of leading global designers (Richard Sapper, Jasper Morrison, Stefano Giovannoni, Marc Newson, Konstantin Grcic, Ron Arad, the Bouroullecs, Robin Day, Pierre Paulin, Jerszy Seymour, Naoto Fukasawa, Thomas Heatherwick and many others) and channels it towards objects perched on the cutting edge.
